Handmade with care

Handmade by our expert seamstresses in the UK, hijab printing using your own unique designs is a beautiful gift for yourself or a loved one. We use a specialist printing technique that fuses the ink deep into the fibres of the fabric, creating a long-lasting print so your designs won't crack or peel. We finish the edges with a hemming style of your choice, various thread overlock trims off 3 mm fabric, and has an overlock edge stitch. Post production, the printed hijab is sent for quality inspection before being shipped out.

Please note: As all of our printed hijabs are handmade to order, there will be some variance in the dimensions, measurements, and shape of the scarf. The premium fabrics we use are naturally delicate and beautifully soft in nature, therefore, the edges of your headscarf can be wavy. A predictable amount of shrinkage is likely to occur, this is normal and to be expected, and will be more apparent in the natural fabrics. Please be aware that natural fabrics have a higher shrinkage than poly fabrics, and allow for this when placing your order. Average shrinkage is 2-8%. Note when selecting the Mulmul Muslin its naturally open weave may cause slight colour variations. This is natural and adds a vintage feel. Due to the delicate nature of the Mulmul Soft Muslin fabric, some pulls are to be expected and this is not out of the ordinary, but adds character to your one-of-a-kind piece. All our headscarves come with a mandatory care and origin label, this can be customised when you simply create an account and design a label using our simple branding station. 

Also, our Cashmere Wool Fabric is woven with care on hand looms, utilizing these unique fibres to create an exceptional product. It is important to acknowledge that during the weaving process, slight flaws, imperfections, and irregularities in the weave can occur, highlighting the handmade nature of the fabric. From time to time, you may encounter small unprinted areas due to fabric fluff shedding during processing, revealing the natural charm of the fabric underneath. We consider a tolerance of approximately 1-2 dots per m² acceptable for such occurrences. Moreover, we'd like to inform you that the hemmed edges may exhibit a slight scalloping effect, and may not align precisely with straight lines in your design, which is characteristic of this material.

Colour reproduction on the real silk satin & silk georgette will be intense due to our specialist printing method. As these are 100% natural fabrics, no chemicals have been used on the fibres. You could also opt for the polyblend fabrics for similarly rich colours. If opting for Mulmul Muslin, please note that this fabric has a naturally loose yarn, which can help give designs a slight rustic aesthetic. This does not in anyway impact the quality of the print, and merely adds to the natural charming qualities of the fabric. As Mulmul has quite loose yarns, you might find that there are slight colour and intensity variations. This would be apparent in parts where the tread is looser. We believe this natural attribute helps give designs a gorgeous, almost vintage finish.
