by our highly skilled team, reflecting a commitment to quality and fast
turnaround that is without parallel. Most of the items you see, for
instance the photo bags and the
photo canvas , are actually
*made from scratch* to order …
Here are some of the facets we have in-house that enable us to achieve
such a broad range of made-to-order gifts
and accessories:
Contrado Studios
All artworking is done in house
by our graphic artists. This gives us the maximum flexibility to give
you great results and get you the image treatment you expect.
Printed inhouse – we print all our items to specially selected
materials. All elements of artworking and production are optimised for
the final product without compromise.
Bookbinding
Contrado has a firm belief in continuing traditional (and unfortunately
disappearing) manufacturing and craft skills. Our in-house bookbinders
have been formally trained, and where skills no longer exist, have had
to learn how to do things themselves. All our books are created in house,
each produced individually by craftsmen.
Machinists
We
have in-house machinists, with bags and cushions being made from scratch
from your photograph. We do not print onto bags, we print to high quality
fabric, from which we make your bag. To do this neatly and efficiently
is an amazing skill, and one which means we can offer a one
hour service on selected items.
Stretching the Canvas Prints
Our canvasses are printed and assembled
under our roof for maximum speed and quality control. Because we print
and make everything in-house, rejection of items that do not pass QA
has no substantial effect on delivery times.
