Canvas Prints Quality

As you can see from the images above, there is a big difference between a canvas that is printed badly and one that is printed well. Because your canvases should make lasting gifts to be loved and admired for a very long time, it is essential that the standard of the print be extremely high. With perfect likeness and vibrant photographic reproduction, your photos will receive the quality of print they deserve. And the finish to the sides and corners of the canvas means that the frame will not crack, tear, or split – even after many years of use.

Quality Canvas Printing

Our superb reproduction is of such a high standard because, unlike many other canvas companies, we print onto real woven canvas heavy 500gsm stock). What’s more, we use dye sublimation printing techniques, which provide a deep and rich print whose colours will not fade significantly with time. With ink jet printing, the finished result cannot be stretched by definition because when it dries, it dries firm. Laminate coverings and the like are simply not good enough. When it’s a case of your most precious photos – the ones you never want to forget – being printed onto something durable that retains an immense sentimental value, only dye sublimation will do.

High Calibre Canvas Wedges

Too often the wedges that competitor canvas printers use are of an insufficient quality to provide a lasting canvas that will stay with you for years to come. We use 8 wedges for each canvas (many other companies will tell you that 4 is enough, but it really isn’t) and FSC stretcher bars for added durability. In fact, we are so confident in these fantastic canvas wedges that we will give you 100% of your money back if they fail and the canvas is distorted or warped. Convinced? Our canvases come with a life time guarantee because we’re so confident in our quality printing. We use traditional framing techniques where the canvas print is stretched over gallery quality FSC pine bars and reinforced with wedges so it won’t warp. Find out more about our canvas print quality.

Our specialist dye sublimation printing technique ensures the print penetrates deep into the thick, woven 500gsm canvas and won’t fade or crack unlike plastic shiny coated ink jet canvas. Ours will not scratch  and nor will water mark it. Our in-house art-workers take care to get the best possible result from your photo canvas.

 

Frame Depth and Wrap Options

You have a choice of frame depth - either 2.5cm or 4.5cm - and also a choice of wrap for your canvas prints. We use gallery wrap as standard, where the image continues and is wrapped around the sides of the frame (bleed). But we also offer a mirror or no wrap if you prefer, if this suits your image more.
