With our Blooming Marvellous competition <\/a>now live and kicking, we thought we would share with you some of the inspiration behind the competition.<\/h3>\n

Renowned and iconic British designer Paul Smith is a big fan of the floral print. He loves using colour and florals and digital prints are often a key attribute to his designs. He often uses his own floral photographs to create his photographic prints – and this is where the idea for Blooming Marvellous came it. The Bags of Love <\/a>team, want Paul Smith’s beautiful use of colourful photographic prints to inspire you to create your own!<\/p>\n

Paul Smith’s SS14 collection features such gorgeous floral prints, you can’t help but feel inspired to start creating (and craving the summer!). Giant yellow daffodils on a hazy, sky blue background, printed on shirts and dresses, \u00a0classic white shirts featuring a pop of bright florals down and tropical floral collages adorned on oversized shirts and tees, create a collection, which seems to leap from the pages of a vintage scrapbook, to “create a range of tropical summer shades<\/em>.”<\/p>\n

With the menswear collection, Smith chose to adorn classic white and chambray shirts with colourful mushroom motifs, appliqu\u00e9d or printed. \u00a0This was a great way to inject the tropical feeling of florals into the menswear collection.<\/p>\n

It’s no wonder that Paul Smith’s SS14 collection inspired us to create our Blooming Marvellous competition<\/a>! With so many stunning prints using flowers, we hope it gives you the urge to start snapping pictures of flora and designing your own stunning floral print!
