How To Test for a Great Bag

We have noticed other people claiming to make 'designer photo bags'. They use words like 'faux' leather (i.e. fake) we use real leather and on or standard bags where only the handle is real leather, we are honest and tell you the rest of the trim is Italian vinyl - it wipes clean! Here is a checklist if ever you needed one.

1 Where is it made?
There are few companies that take the production seriously enough to make the bags in-house. Well that's what we do. All our bags (and other products) are made in-house on our premises in London. That means we plan, produce and oversee every aspect of your bag production. And it means we are fast. Most if not all other companies send your photos and bag order out to another company - that can mean meagre materials, less care and takes longer. Always ask if the bag is made in house or by another party.

2 Materials - Leather Handle
If it hasn't got a leather handle - don't buy it! Leather is best and least likely to tear at the eyelet or fastening - and ours feels so good in your hand.

3 Strength
Does the empty handbag stand up on its own or is it a flop? Bags of Love handbags stand up on their own because of quality materials and design structure. They have enough substance to hold their own weight. (Not the Shopper / Beach bag as this is designed to be light and packable).

4 Photo On Both Sides
If you buy a handbag from us it has same photo on both sides as standard and if you are stuck for choice, a different photo on the other side is just £15 extra.

5 Designer Style and Standards
We came across a company claiming to make 'designer photo bags' but they were square without flair. Featureless products don't deserve your photos.

6 Details
Don't buy handbags without fine details like studs, piping and colour trim in several places. 'Designer bags' that have no design elements like piping or protection with base studs (5 studs on our large bag), are not good enough.

7 Service and Delivery Times
We offer 2 -7 days turnaround - often faster.

8 Photo Quality and Durability
Some manufacturers think that fabric prints that fade and flake are acceptable - how strange! We supply bags that are photo driven. Photography Monthly rated Bags of Love 9 out of 10 for quality. The image will not scratch, flake or fade.
